Watercolor on Canvas

This is the first watercolor on canvas painting I have ever done. The hardest part was getting the color even, it just didn’t want to blend the same way it does on paper. The nice thing though, is that when I was done painting, it was ready to hang, you can’t beat instant gratification.

The flowers in this painting were directly inspired by Prairie Flowers, overall the design transferred well to canvas.

Prairie Flowers

These prairie flowers were inspired by my oldest daughter who suggested I paint a Prairie Dog for her. Since the paintings were small I decided to do two so they didn’t look lonely hanging on the wall. These are flowers I imagine prairie dogs love to sniff out on the prairie.

I made this robot for my daughter who had a sudden love for robots. This picture hangs in her room and each day she asks, “Did you make that for me? Wow!”

This piece is inspired by my never-ending search for the perfect desk. I know it’s out there somewhere, I must have seen it somewhere because I painted this from memory. Also, notice the CatherineHolm plates on the shelf in the background? Another favorite!
